Privacy notice
What data we process, why we need it and how you can make your choices.
Updated: 29 October 2026
1. Who is responsible
The controller for this website and the processing described here is Status Media Niedermann, proprietor Cyril Nicola Niedermann, Münstergasse 16, 8200 Schaffhausen, Switzerland. Contact: info@statusmedia.ch, +41 78 252 78 18.
This notice covers website visits, enquiries, bookings and preparations for working together. Responsibilities for processing data within a client project are additionally defined in the relevant engagement.
2. Website and hosting
When you visit this website, technical data such as your IP address, time of access, requested address, browser and device information is transmitted to our hosting provider Vercel Inc., USA. This is used to deliver and secure the website and investigate errors. Vercel uses internationally distributed infrastructure; processing in the USA is possible.
Our fonts are served with the website. Your browser does not connect to Google Fonts to load these fonts.
3. Optional website analytics
Google Analytics 4 is only loaded after you agree to analytics. Without your consent, we do not load the Analytics script. You can use the website and book a meeting without consenting to analytics.
With consent, data analysed includes page views, device and browser information, approximate geographic location, opening the booking calendar and completed bookings. Google uses cookies and identifiers for this purpose. Our custom booking measurement does not send booking names, email addresses or form answers to Analytics.
We use these insights to improve content and navigation. Google Signals and personalised advertising signals are disabled in our integration. Providers include Google Ireland Limited, Ireland, and affiliated Google companies, particularly Google LLC, USA.
Your choice is stored in your browser’s local storage under statusmedia.analytics.v1. You can change it using “Analytics settings” in the footer. Disabling analytics stops further measurement and our integration attempts to delete Analytics cookies on this domain. Withdrawal does not affect earlier lawful processing. You can also remove your saved choice by clearing browser data.
4. Bookings and online meetings
We use Calendly, USA, for scheduling. The Calendly integration is only loaded when you open the calendar on our website. Calendly then receives technical connection data, including your IP address and browser information. Alternatively, you can contact us by email.
When you book, we process your name, email address, chosen time and answers about your company, goals and existing social media activities. We use this to organise and prepare the meeting. Calendly processes booking information and sends confirmations or reminders. Calendly provides a separate choice for its own cookies within the scheduling view.
Appointments are synchronised with Google Calendar. Online meetings use Google Meet, which processes appointment, participant and connection information and the content you share during the meeting. We inform you separately before any planned recording or transcription begins.
5. Contact and organisation
When you contact us, we process your contact details, business information and message to respond and prepare a potential engagement. Please do not send sensitive personal information that is unnecessary for your enquiry.
We use Infomaniak Network SA, Switzerland, for email, together with Google services for calendars and contact and task management. We also use AgentMail Inc., USA, and OpenAI services to assist with business correspondence. Contact details and message content used for a particular task may be transmitted to these providers, for example to summarise an enquiry or prepare a reply. Cyril Niedermann makes decisions about proposals and engagements.
Instagram is included as an external link. You only visit Instagram when you open that link; the platform’s own privacy information then applies.
6. Recipients and international processing
Data is accessible to the people responsible for handling it and the technical service providers named above. In connection with enquiries and engagements, data is processed in Switzerland, Ireland and the USA. Further locations used by subcontractors are described in each provider’s privacy and subprocessor information.
International transfers must meet Swiss data protection requirements. Vercel, Calendly and Google describe safeguards including Swiss-U.S. Data Privacy Framework certifications and standard contractual clauses. OpenAI also describes safeguards for international transfers. The applicable mechanism depends on the provider and contract for the particular service. You can request information about recipients and relevant safeguards at info@statusmedia.ch.
7. Purpose, retention and security
We process data to deliver and secure the website, respond to enquiries and prepare and fulfil engagements. Optional website analytics is based on your consent. Where the EU General Data Protection Regulation applies, the relevant grounds are consent, pre-contractual or contractual steps, legal obligations or our legitimate interest in secure operations and handling business enquiries, depending on the purpose.
We retain data for as long as needed for its purpose. For enquiries and appointments, this depends particularly on further handling and any resulting engagement. Legal retention duties and establishing or defending claims can require longer retention. Technical logs and analytics data are also subject to the service used and its settings.
This website uses HTTPS encryption. Ordinary email is not automatically end-to-end encrypted. Please agree an appropriate transfer method with us before sending confidential documents.
8. Your rights and contact
Subject to applicable law, you can request access to, correction or deletion of your personal data. Where the legal requirements are met, further rights include data delivery or portability, objection and restriction of processing. You can withdraw consent for future processing.
Contact info@statusmedia.ch to exercise your rights. We may request proportionate proof of identity to identify your request. Legal retention duties or overriding legitimate interests may limit individual rights.
You can contact the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC). Where the GDPR applies, you also have a right to complain to the competent supervisory authority. We update this notice when our services or data processing change.
